The same app either way. The difference is where the thinking happens — and that decides what we can and can't see.
On your own machine

- Unlimited messages. Nothing to run out of, ever.
- Everything stays on your computer — characters, images, conversations.
- Once it's installed it needs no connection and no sign-in.
- Bring your own characters and art.
- Needs a reasonably capable graphics card.
- We can't see any of it, because none of it reaches us.
On ours
In your browser · any phone or laptop
- Runs on rented server cards, so any laptop can keep up.
- A larger model on the top plans — slower to forget, sharper in character.
- Your progress follows you between machines.
- Message limits by plan, on a rolling 12-hour window.
- We still don't keep your conversations. They're generated and passed back, not stored.
Hosted plans
Pay for the hosting, not the app.
One subscription covers both: the desktop app to download, and the servers that run her when your own hardware can't. Monthly, cancel any time.
The desktop app comes with any paid plan. The free tier is a taste of it in your browser.

A browser isn't allowed to read a folder of images from your device, which is why custom characters need the app. Cloud character storage is being looked into.
The window is rolling — it starts with your first message and gives you the full allowance for the twelve hours after it.
